PIA officials have announced special discounts on Eid-ul-Adha
Lahore: PIA officials have announced special discounts on fares between Islamabad, Karachi, Quetta, and Peshawar on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. The fare between Islamabad and Karachi will be Rs 8,652, between Quetta and Karachi Rs 11,535, and between Peshawar and Karachi Rs 11,714.
On the other hand, heavy rains in Karachi affected the flight operation. Flights from Islamabad, Peshawar to Karachi were diverted to Lahore Airport while flights from Dubai were diverted to Muscat. Flights from Karachi to Lahore and Islamabad were not allowed to fly.
Turkish Airlines, meanwhile, backed a new code-sharing deal with PIA, offering a new deal. The chief executive of Turkish Air has responded to the letter of the PIA chief executive by saying that the unilateral code-sharing agreement between Turkish Air and PIA will be signed bilaterally.
The two airlines will share codes for Birmingham, London, Milan, Barcelona, Copenhagen, and Oslo. PIA passengers will be able to book tickets for European routes from Turkish Airlines’ Istanbul Airport. The code-sharing will take place in the wake of a ban on PIA flights by the United Kingdom, Europe, and the United States over suspected pilot licenses.
